CGC DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMME™

1. What is CGC Developmental Programme™?
   

   Besides offering guarantee and direct financing to assist SMEs in financial access, CGC has, since 2016, introduced the CGC Developmental Programme™ to assist SMEs seeking guidance in market access and marketing. The Programme consists of:

   1. Mentoring Programme – preparing SMEs to further develop their business capability and increase capacity, uplifting their business to the next level.
   2. Market Access Programme – growing new market opportunities for SMEs, both locally and internationally.

   The CGC Developmental Programme™ aims at building SMEs capacity to achieving long-term growth and sustainability.

MENTORING PROGRAMME

1. What is Mentoring Programme?
   

   The Mentoring Programme assists SMEs in developing their knowledge to increase productivity and capacity, and preparing SMEs to diversify their sales and marketing channels for business growth. The Programme consists of knowledge sharing workshops whereby SMEs gain knowledge from key personalities / companies, experienced players or market experts sharing their valuable experiences and know-how on latest and relevant topics based on market demand. Currently the topics cover areas in digital and marketing strategies, and requirements to enter hypermarkets.

2. Tell me more about the workshops.
   

   Currently the workshop topics are Go Digital (digital marketing) and Gaining Market Access, and the topics are reviewed based on relevance and importance to SMEs. These workshops are organized as half-day sessions. Business owners, decision makers or other key persons from SMEs are highly encouraged to attend these workshops. Not only will SMEs benefit by learning from the speakers, but also through networking opportunities with exhibitors and other participants. The workshops are open to all Malaysian SMEs.

3. Will I be charged a fee to attend these workshops?
   

   Currently there are no fees or charges to attend the workshops however seats are limited and you are advised to register as early as possible to secure your seat to avoid missing out.

MARKET ACCESS PROGRAMME

1. What is Market Access Programme?
   

   The Market Access Programme assists SMEs to grow their business to expand into new markets locally and internationally (export) on top of their existing sales channels.

2. Tell me more about this Programme.
   

   Market Access Programme assist SMEs to penetrate markets as below:

   Local Market Access: CGC assists SMEs to expand their local sales channels to sell their products through Giant, Mydin, Tesco, Aeon, Lulu Hypermarket and Watson’s stores.

   International Market Access: CGC collaborates with strategic partners to facilitate SMEs’ participation in business events such as trade exhibitions and business matching sessions in foreign countries. SMEs will have the opportunity to meet potential buyers or business partners to enter their foreign markets (export).

3. Will I be charged a fee to participate in this Programme?
   

   Nominal fees may be applicable to certain events; thus we strongly encourage you to contact us to find out in more detail.
